Place for 60th BD celebration in or near the Santa Ynez Valley

  • 4

A high- school friend will be in this area from Philadelphia [relatives in LA] and wants to plan a dinner for about 10 people for her BD. Any ideas? Good moderately priced food- entrees about $20- and perhaps a quiet semi- private room would be good.

  1. My first pick would be Brother's at Mattei's Tavern, but their price point might exceed your budget.

You might try the Vineyard House - I think it would be just what you're looking for. The food is good and the ambience is very nice - if it's a daytime thing, they have a wonderful side deck that could be set up to accomodate a private group - at night, there's plenty of nooks and crannies inside where they could stick ten people.

    1. I second the Vineyard House, and also recommend Cafe Angelica in Solvang. In the local paper, they run ads for good deals each week, and they have a well rounded menu.

        1. Cafe Angelica gets a nod from a very well informed local friend as well. And don't forget Cold Springs Tavern which is bit away on the 154 Pass from Solvang to Santa Barbara but so consistenly so good - and just plain a fun, intimate and historical spot to celebrate anything -- incluuding life!
