I like an impossible challenge. So I'm trying to locate a sports bar in Boston for a New Jerseyite who wants to cheer on the Yankees and make it out alive. But I'm not asking about food in Boston. Or beer really. Where can a guy get a Yeungling in Boston and cheer the Yankees? Where can a guy cheer the Yankees and eat New Jersey watermelon?

Is there an appropriate board or nevermind?

Oooh, this is a good one. I could see it viewed as totally off-topic, on Not About Food, Beer, or Boston. I'm betting on off topic! It seems that you are most likely to get a good answer on the Boston board. Couldn't you just fib a little and say you are looking for a bite to eat along with the beer?

If you have questions like this, and I had one recently, you can e-mail "moderators@chowhound.com" and a friendly member of the Chowhound team will let you know where to post.

Good luck finding a haven of sanity on

Wonder if you could just post it on the Boston board with the additional statement that you're looking for good cheap bar food. That's chowhound, right?

A post on any regional board asking about food or beverages served is on topic for the local board, if it also includes a request for a team friendly bar, or a bar that might be presenting a game on the tube, as long as food or drink are discussed, is fine. A posting only asking about sports bars, bar scenes, entertainment, etc. are all off topic and will be removed.

Likewise, any replies that do not discuss food or beverages are likely to be removed.
