Shanghai-style soup dumplings in LA area

Was in Shanghai a few weeks ago, and when I told my friends about the soup dumplings there, they wanted to give them a try. Does anyone know of a place around Los Angeles that serves a good soup dumpling and thanks for your help!

Din Tai Fung, a Taiwanese place in Arcadia, is a CH favorite. Great pork, crab and other soup dumplings. I also really like Shanghai Kitchen, on the second floor of San Gabriel Square in San Gabriel, which has great soup dumplings (though not as much variety) as well as Shanghai style pork buns, spare ribs and other Shanghinese favorites.

Keep in mind that the soup dumplings at Din Tai Fung are only served on weekends, which I unfortunately found out when I finally made it out there on a Friday.

The ones they serve on the weekends are a special kind of delicate dumplings in a soup base. They have their 'juicy' dumplings available all week long, which are what most people know as 'soup dumplings'. So unless you have your heart set on those 'special' dumplings, then the poster should be fine going any day of the week...

In addition to Mei Long Village, also consider DRAGON MARK.
