New Flushing Place....Nan Shan Crab Soup Bun

Just got back from the Cape and found this e-mail in my mailbox from one of my sweet Hunter students. She's Chinese-American and knows I LOVE food :) Sounds good. Anyone been? I've been too busy semi-fasting on liquids for the last few weeks of Spring that I didn't have a chance to do any of my usual investigative stuff in Flushing. Some of her descriptive terminology is off, but I sense a budding ChowHound. Happy Fourth!
"Speaking of your surgery, how was it? I hope that it went by painlessly very well. In no time, you'll be able to eat lots of good Chinese food again:) I heard you talk about how good Joe's Shanghai was in class, so I decided to recommend a very good restaurant to you. It's fairly new, and, in my opinion, it's better than Joe's Shanghai. The little dumpling thingies aren't as oily. The skin that covers them is very smooth and, in my mom's words, "more beautiful." When they're fresh from the oven, you can just see the white skin shining off from the light, and it's not because of the oil, either. My favorite plate is a udon one; I can't remember the exact name, but it tastes better than all the other udons I've tasted in Korean restaurants. The only thing that's different is that the udon in the restaurant doesn't come in a soup. The plates are very small, but I guarantee you that you'll like them a lot. Each bit is full of flavors. Whenever I go there, all I order is a hot bowl of soy milk and the plate of udon. My mom also likes this dish full of small buns.
