search topics not posted by date

I just seached the midwest board for topics which were about Michigan. I'm up to date in the last month for the Michigan posts, but I had to wade through many many older posts to see the most recent ones on Michigan.

This new format is just not working for me. Anyone with suggestions?

Above the the topics, there is a line on the left that says "View by: Score | Date"

Looks like the searches default to sorting by score. You can clik on "Date" to sort it by date.

I would like the default to be by date.

What does search my score mean? I thought it would be by the number of relies, but it is not.

I believe by score = how well the search result matches the search terms you keyed in. NOt sure if the defaults can be set, but try clicking on "By Date" and see if it stays that way ina future search.

Thank you. No it doesn't. When I click on "by date" the next time I search it defaults to score. IMO the default should be date.
