New Eats in The Beach... "POMEGRANATE!"

Last night we had a fabulous dinner at "Pomegranate", located at 2222 Queen St. E.

We're usually disappointed by several restaurants in The Beach, however we have found a hidden gem!

The owner, Rupert, is also the chef, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. We enjoyed a watercress and fennel salad with cherries, and a baby spinach salad with avacado for our appetizers. For our entrees I had tilapia ( done to perfection ) and my fiance had the lamb chop with red wine/pomegranate reduction.

At the end of our meal the owner/chef came to our table to see how we enjoyed our dinner...it was nice to know that he actually cared what we thought!

Please give this place a try...it's been open for several months and looks pretty quiet everytime we walk by. While we where there only 3 other people came in...

For the two of us, with appetizers and alcohol our total was $74.00 before tip. We left VERY satisfied and excited to go back!

  1. Is this the same place that's on College and Bathurst?

The place on Bathurst and College serves traditional Persian food. Watercress and fennel salad doesn't sound like tradition Persian to me so I would guess that the place starvin is refering to is not related to the one on College and Bathurst. I think that pomegranates are just extremely trendy at the moment.

    2. Ummm...I don't know. I understood that this was his first and only restaurant...

One other thing I forgot to add to my posting...bring cash...it was cash only while we were there...

      1. They also have great brunch. My friend loves their eggs benny, and I had the cowgirl breakfast which was great. Good portion size and not overpriced.
