Chicagoan seeks non-fat sweetened condensed milk
I've seen so many recipes lately that call for non-fat sweetened condensed milk. I've looked in several supermarkets and specialty shops here in Chicago (mainly north side). Does anyone know where I might be able to find this item?

Do the recipes give any indication as to why they specify the nonfat version? Is it just reduce the fat in the product, or will it make a difference in the taste or texture? I've never tried the nonfat version, but I suspect it is formulated to be a close substitute for the regular.
While on the subject of condensed milk, I just bought a squeeze bottle of sweetened condensed milk, from Mexican Nestles. That version of packaging may work well when I just want an tablespoon in my coffee.
