capt. mikes crab shack on cross bay blvd, queens?

i always notice this place on the way back from the beach. has anyone eaten here? is it worth a detour? What are prices like? are the crabs maryland style? my husband not being a fan of crabs, i would love to know if it's a good place to turn him onto them.

  1. Welll... the crabs are good (yes, hammer and Old Bay). The prices are right. And the beer is cold. The fishing boats come in every couple of minutes, so you get a feeling that the place is relatively fresh.

      1. I don't have the exact address, but i pass it every time i head east on cross bay boulevard. It's on the north side of the street. a large tented shack with a sausage cart in the front.

        1. Ir is right next to the Fire Dept on Cross Bay blvd.
