Can't find old posts

I am trying to reply to a current post by referring to an older post of mine but can't find it anywhere. I found it on google, but can only view the cached version (http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:...). Nothing comes up when I search for it through the new search engine. In fact, almost nothing comes up when I search for my username in the new search engine, while google shows (http://www.google.com/search?as_q=%22...) that I have about 147 posts on the old site.

  1. Be aware (it's not obvious) that if you use the search box while on a given board, you are ONLY searching that board. Hit the search button to get to the search results page, where you can choose "advanced search", which gives you ability to search any board you choose (or you can choose to search "all boards"). It's pretty complicated, but it works. Pass it on :)

Maybe the default should be to search all boards?

I think this model makes sense, it just ought to be a bit clearer, and advanced search ought to be more easily available.

How about having "Search all boards" adjacent (i.e., just above or just below) the search on the individual board. If you can see only those two options without clicking to see the dropdown menu, I think it would take care of 98% of all searches.

            Makes sense to me.

Is it possible for each board to have the search box, and the drop down box with the default board name and the search button?

I would also like the advanced search link to the right of the search button on every page.

              Thank you
