Sonoma - Harvest Moon Cafe opened by Nick & Jen Demarest???

In the 'Plan MY Trip" topic, Grocers Daughter mentioned the newly opened Harvest Moon Cafe in the former Sonoma Saveurs location.

Co-owner and chef Nick Demarest worked at Chez Panisse and Eccolo. His wife and co-owner Jen Demarest is the Pastry Chef. She was recently the Pastry Chef at La Toque.

Any other reports?

Thanks. I corrected the title and the OP. When I did a search I misunderstood 'Nick started out at Berkeley's famed Chez Panisse and moved on to open the well-regarded Eccolo" I took that to mean he was a owner when, thanks to your correction, it means he was on the opening staff. Really thanks. I don't want to be the source of misinformation on the web.

I put the owners of Harvest Moon Cafe in the title since I'm sure they have their fans and it might give them the incentive to stop by and report back.

Haven't tried it, but have heard it is very good. Would definitely go if I found myself in Sonoma, they are both accomplished cooks.

Christopher Lee is the owner of Eccolo, Nick left Chez Panisse to work for Lee at Eccolo, then opened his own place in Sonoma. Lee was a downstairs chef at Chez Panisse for many years before leaving to open Eccolo.
