  1. Great tacos are to be had at the Chevron station on Ventura Blvd. a couple of blocks west of Reseda and across from Ross. I think the street is Van Alden. It's on the south side of the street.

I know it's a gas station but, trust me, they're great. I especially enjoy the lamb tacos, but they also do a great job with chorizo and eggs in the morning.

This is basically a mini mart with a kitchen, so there is zero atmosphere and only two tables in the front for you to sit at. But, believe me, it's good eats.

    1. Casa De Tacos, a little joint in a minimall on the east side of Topanga, about Sherman Way (maybe) had pretty good pastor and asada (and what was reported to be a great wet veggie burrito) a few months ago.

I LOVE Casa de Tacos, carne asada is tender and flavorful. They make a mean Torta too.
