TAKARA in Japan center

Anyone know anything about this joint?

  1. Haven't been there for a couple of years but they were known for the cooked rice pots (seafood, chix & pork) with veggies. They do take 30 minutes to prepare and are somewhat pricey but worth the experience.

    1. It's actually one of the few really good places in Japantown. Food is on the traditional side. Prices are moderate, not really a cheap eats joint. I love the sweet shrimp nigiri since they are the freshest you can get around town. There is a tank of them situated in front of the restaurant. The shrimps are fished out and prepared to order. Service is efficient, but cold at times.
