Dim sum late in day???
I will be having guests from out of town in a few weeks, and they
want to have dim sum for dinner. I explained that dim sum is
mainly breakfast/brunch fare, but hoping that maybe there is
a place in NYC that does dim sum cart service later in the day
as well. Does anyone have suggestions? I usually go to Golden
Unicorn, but I'm pretty sure that they hew to the traditional
times. The one place that I'm thinking could work is Dim Sum
Go Go, although the one time that I ate there I was not that
impressed with the quality. Hoping someone here can suggest
something.
Dave

Sweet n Tart on Mott St. has a huge menu that includes many of the classic dim sum dishes, and I believe everything is available all the time. You don't get the fun of the carts, but they make a mean turnip cake.

Try Shanghai Garden (Elizabeth St beside Oriental Garden).

Golden Unicorn is one of my favorite places for Dim Sum. I think you're right, they normally close shop around 2-2:30...

Dimsum is not a late day treat, but I think you can get many dimsum-like items.
