Saigon Seafood Harbor Fire

I'm suprised no one mentioned it. It was all over the news this morning. Sounded like the place was gutted, so if you are planning on eating there, other plans need to be made

The one in Richmond adjacent to the Pacific East Mall.

      2. Alas, it is true. Had plans for lunch there and drove by only to see yellow tape, blackened window sills and serious looking people conferring. Went to Asian Pearl for ho-hum dim sum.

Look on the bright side -- this way they can use the insurance money to rebuild with better acoustics (always a huge problem with that restaurant in all its incarnations), instead of paying to "fix" it out of their own pockets.

Hope some of that insurance money will pay out something for all the people put out of work -- right! Then they can use anything left over for tiles or whatever to solve that horrible acoustics (noisiest ever) problem.
