Any suggestions in Manhattan to buy Head-On Shrimp (to cook). I'm preparing them for July 4th and can only find shell on (head off). Also, any suggestions for good grass-fed meats would very appreciated!

For Grass-Fed, our Whole Foods in SF carries it in abundance. The ground beef makes especially wonderful burgers & sliders for a very small premium compared to conventional beef. I'm sure you can find it at the Manhattan WF locations. Otherwise, you can try the boutique butchers like Citarella and Lobel's, but you'll pay dearly.

There are a lot of places in Chinatown with heads on, live shrimp.

I was walking down Canal Street yesterday and saw a simply extraordinary variety of shrimp, but surprisingly few were head-on. I've always been able to find them at Tan My Me fish store, corner of Grand & Chrystie. A generally excellent selection of fish and shellfish at competitive Chinatown prices.

Wild Edibles should be able to provide head on shrimp. Union Square Farmer's market has a couple grass-fed meat purveyors (esp buffalo). Also Gramercy Meat Market.

I'm pretty sure you can get head on shrimp at any fishmarket in Chinatown. I hope this helps!
