I know there are a million cans of naked halvah in Puddle City, but am suffering a brain lockdown. Where can one buy Joyva? (Preferably in Southeast or actual downtown.) Thanks!

    I hate to reply when I'm not absolutely positive, but I think I've seen Joyva at the Concordia New Seasons.

      Since I posted, I find that Safeway no longer sells it in cans, but in cellophane wrap, labeled "cheese" in the cheese department. No more laughable than the succession of blank stares I got when asking clueless clerks first for halvah, then for "Jewish food," then for matzoh. Sigh.

        I was going to suggest the "Jewish" Albertson's (as a freind calls it) in SW at the intersection of Shattuck and Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy.

        halvah=cheese?! heee!
