[sea] Tacoyaki?

ceester Jun 28, 2006 01:08 AM

Has anyone ever eaten tacoyaki in Seattle? My friend thinks no one here would serve this and I'd love to prove him wrong. Thank you!

(Please don't kill me, moderators, but I'm going to mention the V-word in the C-word, since umetaro's talking about a dearth of izakaya on the West Coast)

Proper izaka-yas are plentiful just across the border to the North in Vancouver. To say any more risks the wrath of the moderators - but check on the Western Canada board for specific recommendations.

I believe Maneki (304 6th Ave S) also has takoyaki and the food is always excellent there.

Yes, definitely available at Maneki. Or you can make them yourself. Uwajimaya sells the grill pans.

Awesome, I can't wait to spring this on my friend. And I will keep Vancouver in mind for a future food trip.
