The heck with "5000 replies" - give me dates and times!

  • 1

As I try to get used to the new format, I have some suggestions on how to improve the friendliness and usefulness of the summary:

- The summary should include the date of the original post.

- The number of replies should move out of the left-most, "this is the most important info" location (following or under the post title, perhaps).

The number of replies is useful only as a relative gauge of a topic's popularity. The only meaning values are "none", "some" and "lots". I suspect I'm not the only person who can't memorize how many replies each topic has received.

- If possible, the date of the most recent reply, along with who posted it, should be included in the summary. This would help people decide whether they want to read the post.

Thanks,
Anne

Not exactly true. As things now stand, when you're looking at the home page active topics list, the number of replies is often the only way to know whether a thread has been updated since you last displayed it.

That said, I'd like a date and time stamp as well as new buttons/yellow backgrounds for updated topics on the home page.
