Need all of your help...need a very LA place, without being "Hollywood" Food should be good to great, must have a wine list and I want a patio. I will consider from WeHo to Santa Monica.

Thanks in advance

  1. You should try Taste. It fits all of your requirements.

    1. Hatfields-It's new and very popular at the moment, but if you can get in you'll be ahead of the crowd, making it a memorable first date. The menu is limited, but very progressive and if you check on this board, you'll find overwhelmingly favorable reviews.
I've eaten there and found it to be divine. The wine list is simple but compliments the food well. They have an eclectic drink list too, such as an elderflower martini.
You'll impress, but it may be a bit much for a first date...more of a special occasion place, and it's not cheap, but VERY well in line for what you're getting.

      1. Hatfield's is wonderful as noted by peanut112. Other good choices might be Chez Mimi on 26th near San Vicente in Brentwood (French), Il Moro on Purdue near Olympic (Italian), Orris on Sawtelle near Olympic (Franco-Japonaise small plates but no reservations)

        1. Taste is perfect

          1. Second the recomendation for Orris. Also, Orso might be a good choice - particularly if you don't know how adventurous your date is.

            1. Lucques would fit your description perfectly. Nice outdoor patio, extensive wine list, award-winning food, WeHo location.

I also like Orris, but the outdoor patio is no good for a date (Sawtelle traffic).
