White Plains area: My dad's blood pressure is through the roof...

My Dad and I were supposed to go to Mighty Joe Young's tomorrow as a late Father's Day. We weren't able to celebrate due to him not feeling well and then finding out his blood pressure is 180 over 110 our something like that. He went on medication and changed his diet (All in the span of two weeks!) and is doing much better.

I still want to bring him out to celebrate, but I can't think of any health-conscious places in Westchester. Any thoughts? (Good atmosphere a strong plus, as we'll be there for a while.)

  1. I don't know a lot about the diet needs of someone with high blood pressure. Can you say a bit more about what he needs, more than health-conscious? I know salt is a big problem, right?

Anyhow, hopefully we can be more helpful if we know more about specifically what he should or should not eat.

    1. Yes, definitely salt, and I guess just fatty foods in general. I'm not that in the loop at this point, so I would just ere on the side of "healthy."

I wish I could be more helpful in terms of description.
