Best Clam Chowder Recipe?

In cleaning the pantry, I ran across 2 cans of Gordon's Chesapeake steamer size cocktail clams. I'd like to make a thin, elegant clam chowder, the type served in nicer restaurants. Does anyone have a recipe they can recommend?
P.S.
I have Nueske's applewood smoked bacon and Minor's clam base in the freezer.
