Where, oh where is Diwan?

As you probably know, Diwan was an Indian restaurant in Port Washington. It moved sometime in 2005 (I think), and the current restaurant at the site is The Wreck.

Does anyone know where Diwan moved to, or failing that, of a good Indian restaurant in Northwestern Nassau County or Northeastern Queens?

Thanks.

Lloyd

there are quite a few options on Hillside Avenue
in New Hyde Park but if you head west on
Union Tpk just over the queens border, you will
hit Santoor in the Waldbaums/Burlington Coat factory.
Reliable indian, jammed on the weekends for lunch with
    indians and non-indian alike.

      Hey Lloyd..

Diwan existed in another iteration as "360"... at the same location.. at least it did when I went last year... (05) It was upstairs from the Wreck, but I've been informed that it may have closed, and I can't find instances of it online.. :(

Diwan also is in Manhattan in the East 50's. That place rocked. They catered my wedding some years back and people are still talking about the food...

      best,

An excellent indian restaurant is the Punjabi Kabab House- 91-52 Lefferts Blvd in Richmond Hill (queens). They also recently opened up a place in Hicksville (495-18 South Broadway). I have not been to the Hicksville location yet but their other restaurant has incredible food. Its an ugly looking restaurant but food is fresh, tasty and the owners are very nice and hospitable. Prices are great too.
