I need a fabulous and festive restaurant that can accomodate a gropu of ten to twelve, for a welcome back from Africa/ Happy Birthday celebration! Most of the party will be staying at 56th b/w 6th and 7th so hopefully something within walking distance of there. I want this to be a special evening

Depending on the people, I would say go to Plataforma Churrscaria on 49th between 8th and 9th. Great Brazillian Churrascacia, and the perfect place for a large group of people. If people are vegitarians though, you may run into a problem, although the salad bar is amazing and enormous as well.
