Lola's in Tulsa

We had intended to have dinner at Caz's Chowhouse before the Beck concert (at Cain's) last week but didn't know they are closed on Mondays, so went across the street (Brady) to Lola's. We've been there for tapas with a group last year and really liked it, but weren't quite sure how it would be for 2. We split a Pizza Miguel - bufalo mozzerella, slabs of parmesan, and roasted red peppers with Romescu sauce for dipping and a garlic-rubbed crunchy crust - and a salad of a whole head of Boston lettuce with lardons and croutons and the best Maytag blue cheese dressing ever - possibly just Maytag and some thinned cream. It was so very very good.

  1. I've tried Lola's twice, both times in a party of four before a concert, and have twice been disappointed. I really want to like it because of the great ambience and location, but I don't enjoy the flavor combinations and feel it's overpriced.
