So I got a set of these for grilling and I don't get how to use them. I assume you can't just put the wooden handles on the grill. Do you soak them first? Are they for use for a special kind of grill where they can stick out the side (this doesn't seem to work on my Weber gas range). I would appreciate any advice.
I just looked them up on Amazon, and I have to say with regret that those skewers don't have a lot going for them. You certainly can't use them for grilling, as you'd have to put the handle outside the grill and then only the food at the very tip of the skewer would touch the grill. Soaking the handle would do nothing.
But you do have nearly perfect skewers for roasting marshmallows, as the handle will stay cool no matter how long you keep your marshmallow over the fire. Well, unless the handle catches fire.
