Disable graphic?

Is there anyway to disable graphic? I hate that world map that comes up everytime I click on boards. Just give me text please.

    No need to go to the Boards page if you don't want to. Just roll your mouse of the "Boards" in the top nav bar, and a pull down text-only view of the boards will appear.
