Go to "my CHOW". Your profile is at the top right. At the bottom of your profile, click on the link that says "Add to your profile"

      thanks team,

      thanks, kiwi

If they want to do it, they will. Some hounds won't want to fill out a profile, and that's fine by us.

I feel like we are not communicating well. You guys put in the profile box the following statement:

"Tell this hound they really should answer some profile questions!"

If we can't communicate directly with another member than why would you say, "Tell this hound they really should answer some profile questions!"?

What am I missing? Will we be able to communicate directly with another user in the future?

Some (perhaps most) chowhounds value their privacy and seek only to exchange food/drink info and not their backgrounds to other users of the site. I think this is an entirely valid point of view.

          That's not the point!!

The point is that the website says "Tell this hound they really should answer some profile questions!" But there is no way to tell another user anything!

Thank you Darren, that's EXACTLY what I'm getting at. It's not about privacy, it's about a pointless prompt.
