Option of 100 posts per page...

I like the new look but am sad that I can't see many posts at once. Maybe offer the option of seeing 100 posts on each page?

Thanks, like the look not sure of the format.

  1. Yeah, I'd like to see more than 20, too. Also, since some of the boards have so many threads, it would be nice to have a way to "skip" to older threads instead of having to hit the "next" button a million times. For example, if the LA Board has 35,000+ threads and I'm looking for something around last November for Thanksgiving ideas, maybe there could be a box into which I could type in the number "1200" to see the 1,200th thread, to get me closer to the time period I'm looking for. I'm thinking of something like the search feature found on Outlook Web Access.

I think this format is a great improvement over the original, now that I'm starting to get my bearings.

Agreed. Maybe a 50 or 100 option button at the bottom of the page, kind of like the "single page" option the NYT, LAT, and WaPo offer? The 20 per page interface is easier on the eyes, but not on the time limits I have to surf. Every nano second counts! But generally, I do like the new interface.

Also, a "lo-fi" version (that looks something like the old boards) would be really useful for viewing 100 threads at a time in a small, simple font, each a plain link to a single topic.

Common forum software like IPB and PHPBB has this feature built in.

    2. This is the ONLY thing about the new boards that I'd add as well. I'd like the option to be able to see more posts at once. That would be awesome.

      1. I agree.

Overall I think I'll grow to like the new site. Good job!
