Circo on 55th btwn 6th and 7th. Everything is fantastic but it's Egi's ravioli and the bomboloncini (Tuscan doughnuts) that I can never get enough of...throw in the unparalled Maccioni service and Circo makes for the best Italian in Midtown.

re: wachob
I have to disagree with Circo...it must be one of the all time bad rip off restaurants in the city that rides on the rep of an over the hill now closed now resurected place .....Sirio Maccioni kid's run the place...terribly... i could go on and on...if you are going to spend the money go to san Domenico, Alto or the very much under the radar Bottega Del Vino (I believe that is the exact name, it is on 60th and 5th) which is fantastic and authentic...for less expensive go to one of the two little places on 55th btw 5th and 6th closer to 5th...Circo? come on...

re: Cpalms
Cpalms should relax. I agree Alto is good, but misses on some of its dishes. I do give Condit credit for great attention to the food (freshness, presentation etc.). I disagree on Circo. Circo is much better than Bottega and at times, it is great. I find San Domenicao to be the most expensive and given the choice, I would opt for Circo for the scene. FYI, those palce you cn't recall between 5th and 6th are no less expensive, just a bit more touresty. Lets agree to disagree on Italian food.
