HUGE ::::::::applause:::::: to all that had a hand in the new site! Break out the champagne, beer, mojitos or whatever floats your boat - toasts all around! You deserve it!

Amen, this is great. So many new features to love. One of my favorites is breaking out the international board by region or country and also being able to see all of the responses in order on a topic. Bravo!

I really, really love it!!!! Thanks for all your hard work. I can't wait to make my first post on the L.A. board. Grosses bises (as they say in French--and it does not mean roast beef).

Been on for about 30 minutes. First thought, "What the hell is this?"
Second, "ok, I see how this working."
Third, " where the hell is my confirmation e-mail"
Fourth, "Oh yeah, they told me to check the junk mail."
Fifth, " This works. I can get used to this."
Sixth, " Wow, a board for beer. Cheers to the new Chowhound!"

i must say i'm kind of old fashioned but i loved the old site, better since you could see a whole bunch of postings all at once on one page, and could scroll down, etc. oh, well. guess i'll have to get used to it or stop posting.

I hope you'll spend some time trying out the software (not as a tester, but just reading and posting on Chowhound). I think you'll see that there are lots of plusses to the new software.

I have my issues, too, but this isn't a finished product yet and I already love many of the new features.

I like it. Beats the old site by far! More power to you guys!

Thank you, Chowhound Team! I have to agree; for every problem with the new look and software you've made ten improvements. I'm sure it will just keep getting better.

So far so good. I think I can like this new board. It is much, much better than the old. A bit different than some of the other boards I frequent but so what. I can get used to it. :)

also, posters that used to post under different handles, it would be cool if you could mention what your former handle was. luckily, i'm lower case "kevin" and still got to keep it.

I concur. This is a fabulous redesign. Very well done and thought out.

Thanks, guys. Sounds like it was a close thing, keeping the board alive.

                                          Keep up the good work!

It really is impressive. Needs some minor tweaks but overall it's one of the most elegant and well-designed conferencing systems I've encountered.

My initial reaction was negative but only because the "New" icons don't show up the first time you browse a ported-over topics.
