There are several posts about this on the Home Cooking board. Read those.

Also, what do you mean by "indoor grill"? A grill pan (or a two burner pan)? I sincerely hope you aren't planning to light charcoal inside.

I am referring to an electric indoor grill, ie. Foreman, De Longhi, but don't know which is better. Or maybe if a particular grill pan on the stove is better?

          Ah, ok.

I don't have a Foreman style grill, but friends who have it are very happy with it.

The grill pan is more versatile in some respects (and cheaper, I'd presume). The only drawback, of course, is that if you want to "press" the top of a sandwich (like a panini press), you'd have to use two pans (or just flip the sandwich).

Finally, there are larger grill pans that span two burners. Most have grill indentations on one side, and are flat on the other side. The flat sides are great for making pancakes. The grill side is large enough to do, say, 8 burgers.
