      <content>I like Peugeot pepper mills. They make a salt mill too, but I just crush coarse salt in a mortar.</content>

      <content>Ditto - they're not that expensive and one of mine is at least 30 years old and going strong, outlasting a variety of cheap ones I've been given or picked up for one reason or another.  The 6" models go for about $25 around here, so shop around if the first place you find is a lot more expensive than that.
