So I'm looking for some good food and/or wine related magazines. I usually read Food and Wine, Gourmet, Saveur, Wine & Spirits, etc. I am looking for something new, Italian? regional wine? Any ideas?

thanks

For subscription, I'd suggest Fine Cooking-- it beats Cook's Illustrated, imho, and has good, affordable wine reccomendations. I read F & W and Saveur, pick up Everyday Food and Martha Stewart occasionally on the newsstand. Eating Well is also good, occasionally, and worth a look on the newsstand.

I love Gastronomica. It's a food journal, almost scholarly, so it's a bit different than your average cooking magazine.

Whattya mean, ALMOST scholarly?

I love Gastronomica, too. It only comes out four times a year, and is $12 per issue, but worth it.

For Chinese food mavens, Flavor and Fortune is the best thing going.

And for something way different, there's Wine X magazine. They have a high sass factor.

If you join Slow Food (www.slowfood.com) their quarterly journal, Slow, is all about food, eating and agriculture around the world. It is quite nice.

Also, have you tried reading food blogs? There are links to a bazillion of them at http://foodpornwatch.arrr.net

My favorites are
Chocolate and Zucchini (written by a charming French woman)
Noodle Pie (Saigon street food)
Ono Kine Grindz (reviews of Hawaiian restaurants)
Nordljus (gorgeous photography and interesting recipes, mostly for desserts)
and all the ones written by Chowhounds, of course.
