I'm shopping for a new one to replace my ancient "Classic". What are your thoughts?

Do you really need the extra bowl capacity? If not, then go for a straight replacement with another "Classic."

i have one of each. if you need the capacity, you're stuck with the lift mechanism. i find this design is harder to access for bowl scraping, adding ingredients, etc. i prefer the tilt design for easy access. the biggest drawback i've found to the tilt design is the bowl torquing down and becoming difficult to remove when working with heavy doughs or mixing/kneading for long periods (this effect has lessened over the years).
