"Prime" review in NYT
For those who might have missed it yesterday, below is a link to the New York Times review of Poppy Z. Brite's "Prime." Ms. Brite is a Chowhound contributor (Doc on the New Orleans board and elsewhere.) The book follows up on "Liquor," and is set in New Orleans and Dallas.
Thank you for posting this, Kirk. "Liquor" is one of the best food novels I have ever read and I am greatly looking forward to "Prime." Chowhounds who haven't read Brite's novels about these two engaging young New Orleans chefs should consider picking them up. She knows the Big Easy food scene like a pro and writes about it with a sharp but affectionate eye.
