Saw a man-on-the-street feature on TV where they asked this of people coming out of restaurant row. Typical answers "half a steak", "rest of my linguini", "3 spare ribs and one egg roll".

They then tossed the question to the anchors, adding on "...the last time you went out".

Well, mine's none too interesting. We went to the local pizza joint Sunday night, and had a few slices of "meat lovers delite" left. Had they caught us earlier in the week, though, it would have been some juicy Ethiopian goodies.

Most of the time mine would be Chinese, I suppose. We eat there a disproportinate percent of the time, besides which, like most people, we over-order when we do. If I go out for a sandwich or a baked stuffed haddock, I'm far less likely to have leftovers.

Others? What's in YOUR doggie bag?

most often it's a chicken breast. Often, I order chicken breast grilled, sauteed, etc and they usually serve two breasts. I could eat both but in trying to show some control, I divy up the meal. I also find it travels well and makes a nice lunch with salad the next day.

It's not that I eat chicken breast that often, but when I do, usually half comes home with me. Other dishes usually don't interest me on a second seating. It's not that they are bad, they just work better fresh.

There was sirloin and some ribs from Texas Roadhouse. The sirloin got turned into filling for some deeeelicious quesadillas, the ribs got devoured before they could be transformed into something else.

With the size of portions these days... usually half my meal. Then it sits in the fridge until it becomes a museum exibit and gets tossed w/ its other furry friends.

I love restaurant left-overs, don't cook and don't like normal breakfast food so I always over order and enjoy a second round the next morning.
