        <content>Opened some cc for bfst this morning and although the sell by date wasn't for another 2 weeks the cc was sour, Yuck!! I threw it out. What happened???</content>

      <content>I've had that happen too.  Most likely, it wasn't stored properly in the market you bought it in.

      <content>Yes, that, or stored improperly at the factory, or on the shipping floor, or in the truck that took it to the distibutor, or at the distibutor, or at the truck that took it to the supermarket's distribution center from the first distributor, or at the distribution center, or on the truck from the distribution center to the market, or in your car on the way home from the market, or more than likely a combination of the above..</content>

      <content>Right, or the person who kept it in their shopping cart for an hour while picking up the remainder of their groceries and suddenly decided they weren't in the mood for cottage cheese so they put it back onto the shelf, now it's lukewarm and beginning to brew bacteria.  The reasons certainly are endless!

      <content>With all those reasons, its AMAZING that it doesn't happen more often. I eat a ton of cottage cheese and that's the first time that happened.</content>
