Are there any good dark beers that are available in the mini-keg size? (Note: Not a half-keg, but the really small shelf-size kegs you can sometimes find at Trader Joe's.)

Monschoff Schwarzbier
Kostritzer Black Lager
Paulaner Marzen/Oktoberfest - not dark, but amber

If you like smoked beer, Schlenkerla marzen (dark for a marzen) comes in the 5 liter keg can.

Mostly German imports are found in mini kegs, but likely it is pils/helles/export lagers, not dunkels that is imported in 5L. Some US microbreweries are starting to use them now too.

Not sure where you live or if there are any brewpubs nearby, but on the east coast, several brew pubs sell beer in growlers to take home. I'm sure blue laws will govern where this can be done.
