gravy at diners like Denny's and IHOP

Do chain restuarant/diners such as Denny's and IHOP put pork into their gravy for dishes like biscuits and gravy? And is this the right forum for this question?

    If you're lucky.

They use sausage gravy, and it comes canned or in a dry mix; I'm guessing they don't make it from scratch.I'm pretty sure the canned would have actual sausage meat but not sure about the dry (it's not that common up north here, although we're starting to see it more and more).

I agree with the previous two posters, but you might also post to the Kosher board.

If they use the can verison than the answer is yes. Even if the use the dry verison the answer is most likely also yes.

Biscuits and gravy serve in the South normally has bits of pork link sausages in it.

So if you want to aviod pork then this is not a dish for you.
