Is it my imagination or is the mayo in the squeeze bottle a different texture than in the jar? I have had both Hellman's and Best Foods and both seem to thin down considerably when stirred or added to other ingredients. Potatoe salad seemed rather watery as did Tuna salad. Flavor seems a bit different from the glass jar type, also.Anyone else experience this?

I don't know but I HATE that squeeze bottle...has less than the jar too. So, I've switched to Hellman's now. What a rip off...sort of like "Ultra Bleach".. now they make it more concentrated and jack up the price...my point on bleach is "what's the point?" Bleach is so strong it does not need to come in an "ultra" form in my opinion.

I think they add something to the mayo to make it more 'squeezable.' Also, the plastic container changes the taste. These large-scale commercial products usually taste like mutant rubber to me.

I think the taste is different in the squeeze jar. I prefer the old glass jar - and its contents.

I don't know about the regular flavoured Hellmann's, but the icky-flavoured ones are "light" mayo. Thus the funny texture. By icky I mean the "herb", "roasted garlic" and "bacon and tomato". Can't stand any of them - I became intimately acquainted for professional reasons.

I had a BF squeeze bottle and when it ran out, I filled it with regular BF mayo from the jar (I like the no mess squeezability). The consistency of the jar-mayo that I squeezed out seemed the same, and I couldn't tell any diff with the taste. I've only used it as sandwich spread and tuna salad, not potato salad.
