Ben & Jerry's Pistachio Ice Cream

I just tried this new flavor - it's amazingly good - lots of whole pistachios and no green food coloring. Give it a try.
I love pistachio ice cream.
We were forced to walk past a 31 Flavors shop enroute home after school every day. Sometimes our grandfather would meet us there and we'd get pistachio ice cream at his recommendation.

re: kc girl
I grew up in New England and got started with pistachio at Howard Johnson's. They made an excellent version back in the 60's - chock full of whole pistachios and very creamy. Over the years the descent was slow but sure ... smaller nuts or bits, then I think they even went to almonds or another nut and finally to some green things ( a la fruitcake? ) - and that was 20 (?) ago. I stopped buying ice cream from them. Now when I go back to Connecticut to visit my wife's family in Manchester there is a local dairy restaurant called Shady Glenn that makes a great version of pistachio. Now I can just go to the local market - this could be trouble.
Pistachio is my favorite of all Ben & Jerry's flavors. Very creamy without any fake taste. I used to get it at my local TJ's but lately, they haven't been stocking it. Sad.
