Trying new things led us to Cypress Grove Purple Haze goat cheese drizzled with a beautiful semi crystalized dark honey from a local beekeeper and a thick chewy Miller's five grain bread. The combination was great mainly because the honey was so good and the lavender in the Purple Haze was lovely. Are there other cheese honey combos with should try?

Haven't tried many different kinds of honeys lately, so thanks for the idea. Protein and energy!

On Food TV the other day (Michael Chiarello), it was blue cheese and honey on a foccacia. I don't care for blue cheese, but there seems to be a few more cheese/honey combos on Food TV. Seems to be a Greek and Italian idea, but these days, well. . . . you're experimenting.

Food TV doesn't seem to get very detailed in types of honey or cheeses, touting what's easy to find I guess.

Tyler Florence did Greek Yogurt with a Fig, Date, and Honey Swirl.

And, Total Greek Yogurt has a combo package of their yogurt with honey on the side (like those Cottage Doubles if cottage cheese with a fruit spread side)

Bobby Flay did fresh Buffalo Milk Ricotta with Orange Marmalade, Honey and Toasted Pine Nuts.

The Surreal Gourmet did Honey-Drizzled Walnut and Gargonzola Bites.

Do they make a honey that tastes of apricot? I'd like that, I'm sure.

Oooh, they have MANGO HONEY

Maybe that would be good with a nutty Emmental?

"It still is too early to say definitively, but honey seems to have the potential to serve as a dietary antioxidant, . . . "
