I'm assuming you're asking about extra virgin olive oil. If so, Colavita is a commonly available brand that's generally considered to be good value, though that may not necessarily translate into "reasonably priced," especially in these days of the high-flying Euro. It has good enough flavor and sufficiently low acidity for salads and similar uses, yet isn't so expensive that you hesitate to use it in everyday cooking.

Learner, Believe it or not, Costco's Kirkland brand is excellent. (The green 1 quart bottle, not the plastic bottled gallon stuff.) Use the Kirkland brand for salads' bread, etc. Buy the gallon olive oil for cooking and mixing.

I've recently switched to Goya brand olive oil and really love it...read about it in Consumer Reports or someplace like that. Very good Spanish olive oil but I can only find it with the other Goya products in the ethnic section of the grocery store, not with all the other oils.

La Española is the one I like. It comes in a can and seems to stay fresh longer than oils in glass bottles. Real good for the price (cheap).
