I did a search and came up with very little.

Can anyone recommend an organic (or at least natural-esque) beer I could give as a gift?

Thank you in advance

My favorite organic is Schneider (Organic) Edel Weisse. But I wouldn't say that it's amazing. Just happens to be on tap, is all. Don't know about bottles. I would like to try a Bear Republic Organic IPA, if I could find it. I can't.

Do a search for "organic" at the BeerAdvocate. You will get a way too list of many styles and brands that you'll have a hard time finding.

Have to know where you live in order to give the best advice about beers available in your area.

Most widely available in the US will be Wolaver's (made by Otter Creek). I think the Oatmeal Stout is the best in their lineup - the IPA isn't bad either - just needs more hops for my tastes. http://www.ottercreekbrewing.com/home/wolavers/beers.html

Belgian brewery Dupont also makes some great biologuiqe beers if you can find them. Check out link below.

two of my favorites: Samuel Smith's Organic Ale and Organic Lager

They also make non-organic ones and have the loveliest labels - perfect for a gift.

The only nationally distributed organic brand that I'm aware of is Wolaver. Depending on your area of the country there's Butte Creek, Lamar Street (Whole Foods Private Label), and a small family of imports. Sam Smith's Lager is a worthy product, as is Pinkus, a German import. Bison Brewing also has a small range of products.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I'm getting into the organic beer business on the import side.
