I bought a pressure cooker that apprarently is made of aluminium material because it is not heavy.

Any downside ? I heard there are possible reactions with some foods.

Is there some websites explaining this ?

If it is plain aluminum and not anodized you should not cook acidic foods in it. The acid can pit the aluminum. So no tomatoes, apples etc.

There were also those rumors a while back about aluminum cookware contributing to the development of alzheimer's later in life. Please, someone, tell me that theory has been discredited.

Yes it was. It was found that there is an abundance of aluminum in the brains of Alzheimer's patients but it was proven not to have been directly linked to cookware, the study I believe showed that the aluminum was an effect not a cause. Aluminum is abundant in many things that we eat as well as drink and use, like antiperspirants. You cannot get enough aluminum from cookware to cause Alzheimers. It is time for that myth to go away.
