The 6-legged chicken - photo by request

Nyleve Nov 1, 2004 03:47 PM

Ok, I'm not sure if I've got this linking thing right, but I am going to try to post a photo of my most recent 6-legged chicken, as requested not long ago. It's not exactly a food-porn-worthy shot, but it's explicit enough.

You have to be linking to an image file (ends in .jpg or .gif). To get that, right click (or command-click) on the picture and open in a new window. Then copy that URL. LIke this:

Deep dark secret. It's a regular chicken with 4 extra legs sewn on. Not particularly hard to do, and for certain special circumstances, well worth the effort. I had originally suggested that it could be done with a turkey for a very, um, surreal Thanksgiving dinner. I have had perfectly reasonable people convinced that I bought the chicken - as is - from a farm located next to a nuclear power plant.

John Madden used to award turkey legs to "players of the game" when he broadcast Thanksgiving Day NFL games. Over time, two legs sometimes weren't enough so he came prepared with 6 or even 8 legged turkeys. One company prepared the following for a "Madden Party"

Wow. Very very nicely done. I can't see the stitches at all. Great work.
