Four of us will be sitting in the very upmarket seats, thanks to our neighbors, at the Hollywood Bowl end of the month and we volunteered to bring the "grub", and we'd like to "rise" to the occasion! Any and all suggestions of what makes up this picnic basket will be gratefully received. Oh yes, guess I should have said we'd prefer to make the food instead of buying a prepared basket, and so the reason for this post. Thanks.

For 4 people you'll have two tables that hang on the wall of your box. The bowl provides oilcloth tablecloths but you'll want your own cloth ones. Don't forget a vase or two and don't forget to bring flowers. China plates add a nice touch. You'll want to bring real flatware for service and eating, and don't forget cloth napkins. Nice salt & pepper shakers. A small roll of paper towels. Real glass wineglasses. Take some zip-lock baggies, including a few large enough to hold your dirty plates and silverware. You'll have enough room inside the box for a small cooler and your basket, although before the performance begins you can set some things in the aisle. We typically take pate and a couple of cheeses, don't forget a cheese board/knife. Often cold, poached salmon or roast chicken. Sometimes chilled gazpacho. Room temp grilled shrimp. And whatever you forget, make sure it's not the wine. Enjoy.
