Yehuda Matzos

I picked up a box of Yehuda Matzos at my local Whole Foods. The box says they're "organic". I thought they'd be crap, but it turns out, they are excellent!

My son bought a multi-pack at a Whole Foods in Boston and gave us the remainder when we visited him shortly after Passover. My wife and I both love the flavor--as good as I've had!

Is there really all that much variation in taste and quality between matzoh brands?

The taste is reasonably similar but the texture is very different. The Hagada brand that I just bought has a lighter, crunchier texture..and a slight burn at the edges; that gives a nice flavor...to my taste. My memory of Yehuda and Aviv is similar.

I'm pretty sure these are all made in Israel and are plastic sealed inside of the cardboard box, so they stay fresh( maybe all matzo is?).

It's like the difference between an ok pretzel and a nice crunchy one.

I've had Yehudah also and enjoyed them. Other brands I've found that are very good are Aviv and Hagaddah.

I'm so happy that whole wheat matzah and whole wheat matzah meal are finally available!
