Just put about a teaspoon of instant coffee in my coke, expecting a quick-but-gross boost.
It is the single most delicious flavored soda I've ever had (although it is with difficulty that I restrain myself from using exclamation points at the end of each sentence).
Anyone else do anything like this? What do you put in your sodas to make them your own?
By the way--thanks to those who responded to my recipe translation question--in the process of locating epifin locally or by mail order.

In Germany, where my family comes from, people drink something called a "Radler," which is basically about 2/3 lager to about 1/3 "Limonade" (their word for Sprite or 7-Up). It's surprisingly refreshing, especially on a hot summer's day. I think the Irish do this too, but they call it a "Shandy."

The Germans are also big on something called "Cola Bier," which is essentially beer and Coke, and while potable, I don't find in nearly as pleasant and refreshing as a Radler.

I don't know if this counts, but every once in a while I'll do what was a regular thing back when I was in high school (class of '56!), and add some salted peanuts to a coke. Back then it was a whole little bag of Planters, poured into the bottle. Really good! Something to drink and something to chew. Sort of the 50's version of "bubble tea"?

Beer floats. They're just like root beer floats, but with real beer instead. Try it out with a decent beer, you'll be surprised how tasty it is- the first one I had was with an amber ale (reminded me of Fat Tire), and it tasted like honey-nut cheerios.

it may seem odd at first but it grows on you! it is/was a great way to get a growing girl to drink lots of milk.
