I am looking for a great granola recipe WITHOUT any dried fruit. I am going to use it as a base for granola bars which will have added dried fruit but I want to make several different kinds hence I need the base granola to be "fruitless." Thanks!

there's a great one in "Moosewood Restaurant New Classics". it involved lots of nuts, but no fruit, i believe. sorry i don't have the recipe with me. this was loose granola, by the way, not bars. very simple and tasty.

Simple. Just eliminate the fruit from any recipe. The fruit is usually stirred in at the end after the grains have baked, so there's really no difference in granola made with or without fruit.
